Biographical Information
Welcome to the web-site of Claire Detels and the Butcher-Detels Four-Hand Duo. 
 
Claire Detels is Emeritus Professor of Music History and Harpsichord with 26 years of teaching experience at the University of Arkansas, who now freelances as a pianist and teaches part-time at the Suzuki School of Music.
 
The Butcher-Detels Duo is an Arkansas Artists On Tour-affiliated ensemble consisting of Claire Detels on the bass half of the piano and Betty Butcher on the treble half.  The Butcher-Detels Duo performs concerts of a wide range of 4-hand piano repertoire, from classical to American popular music, as well as being available for weddings and parties.
